For 20 Summers , and the seasons either side, Marks has delivered quality dining that surfs the waves of food fashion from it’s spot on Lornes, beachfront. Food fads ebb & flow like the tide, but Marks’modern menu focuses on top notch produce, often local, sometimes home grown, delivered with consistency, regardless of the time of year (though increasingly chef Mark Purdie shuts up shop during Winter). Expect fresh fish, like blackened gummy shark, calamarie, and pasta with full flavoured sauces, plus fillet steak & salmon for the more conservative diners. The chefs; fond of game, and you may find duck, perhaps twice cooked on mash, or chargrilled roo with masterstock jus. Local wines often star on a cherry picked list that shows off what the region can do.(Red Rock sticky, we’re looking at you). Desserts include menu fixtures like Lindt chocolate mousse and the regulars favourite: sticky banana & macadamia nut pudding with butterscotch sauce
..and there’s a childrens menu, high chair & colouring in.
